2011 District 5 Jr/Sr League Baseball/Softball Local Rules

 

All Rules from the 2011 Little League Rule book are in effect except those listed below which were voted on by the league Presidents to make this League as fair as possible.

1) Continuous Batting Order

2) Open Substitution on Defense

3) Minimum play time for all players three innings

4) 5 run rule per inning with the exception of last inning to keep games interesting for the players (This one was forgotten when questionnaire was sent out but I think it will help the league due to the age differences)

5) District wide tournament may be scheduled if time permits from July 5th - July17th for regular season teams ONLY not all start teams.

BASEBALL ONLY: Remember 16 yr olds are not allowed to pitch during the regular season, but they can during the Sr League District Tournament.

For those of you who do not know 12 yr olds are not eligible for play in this division as it is considered Sr League for the 2011 season.  

Managers that have 16 yr old players please be kind enough to let the opposing Manager know if you have any 16 yr old players and what their names are prior to the start of the game.  

Tournament teams are selected by age and all who play in this league and meet the requirements for tournament play can play in their respective Division (Jr League 13/14 & Sr League 14-16) for District Tournaments
